As requested by our amazing students, this page is dedicated to showcasing their academic talent. For the month of January, we'd like to highlight, Elizabeth, who produced an Interior Design presentation to fulfill an assignment. Look at her vision for our multi-purpose room!
February, 2024
February student spotlight is our determined student, Angelene. Angelene has faced many barriers to her education. As a result, she was credit deficient and lost belief in her academic abilities. However, a few encouraging sessions and a tailored plan to individualize her success has led to Angelene now being on track to graduate in May! We are very proud of her persistence. In her own words, " I did not come here to play, I came here to slay!"
March, 2024
Our March student spotlight is Myriah! Our Myriah started with The CTM Academy in August and in this short period of time, she has significantly increased her academic skills, and can even solve math problems independently now! She works VERY hard and is a conscientious and caring student. Learning has been difficult at times, but she never gives up and has a great attitude, even when frustrated. She also helps organize and promote community outreach programs through her local church. Lastly, The CTM Academy was made aware that due to her newly acquired academic success, she is now actively leading announcements and church songs, much to her mother's amazement! Her mother credits The CTM Academy for Myriah's growth! Check her out reading announcements and song leading at her church! April, 2024
We are back from spring break and are pleased to announce Patrick as our April student spotlight, All teachers that have worked with him note his persistence to learn and his willingness to help others. Speaking of helping others, Patrick devotes his time to mentoring and volunteering young adolescents and shares his successes and struggles, in hopes of helping them overcome their own challenges. He has also graduated a year early!
May, 2024
Our May student spotlight includes all our graduates! The CTM Academy will list the finalized names by the end of May. In spite of obstacles and distractions, they stayed committed to completing their diploma. It is extremely difficult to graduate from high school when a student experiences adverse childhood experiences, trauma, homelessness, and the like. So to all our 2024 graduates, we applaud you and highlight your success!
